Starting with Hope
Your Life Matters
Dealing with a mental health issue can be a lot and it often leads to more questions than answers. This statement is not only true for those experiencing the issue, but also for family, friends and others offering support. As a believer it can seem even more daunting to navigate a mental health issue due to the stigma associated with seeking formal mental health treatment, unsubstantiated doctrine and knowledge deficits within the church.
Add cultural barriers to the mix and it’s easy to see why so many don’t receive the care they need. While we are still working (hard!!) on changing ideas concerning mental health in faith communities, we also want to help you connect with any resources and support you may need.
You’re not alone and there’s power in that.
Below are some resources to help you educate yourself and sort through it all.
We can also help you find targeted mental health resources in your area! Check out our Services page for more info!
